Yes we occasionally have meets there though I am from Brisbane I do travel to gold coast for meets pick a place and time and post something and I will try and make it there.

Yes Rache we do have meets around the Goldie, just pick a date, place and time and start a thread, see what interest you get, a week or two in advance is a good idea, though we've had a few good meets with just a few days notice.
Ok Stan that sounds like a challenge, when are you heading back ?

Thanks for your reply's. I thought there may have been a regular group that meets up once a month or something. Not to worry I will keep an eye out for them, I am not brave enough to arrange it myself.

How about an early morning meet up at Snapper Rocks for sunrise (or clouds!) surfers etc? If the surf is not up to scratch we could go round to D'bah. If it is a weekday or Saturday and we are lucky we might get the trawlers coming in for shots like this one. We could gather afterwards for a coffee/breakfast at Cafe D'bah.
Stan, suggest a date!

Alas, all rail trips have been cancelled pending 'management problems'. So it looks like Snapper Rocks.

It was lovely to catch up with Bill & Stan but the weather wasn't very friendly to us. However, we are doing it again on Thursday so those who can, 4.45 QLD time at Burleigh heads - I will nominate the car park along Goodwin Terrace between surf club and Oscars restaurant as the meet up point. I will make a thread.
