    DxO ONE

DxO are bringing out their own camera. The DxO ONE.

With the reduction in DSLR sales, and the compact market dead due to the proliferation of cameras in phones. DxO are bringing a 1 inch sensor to your phone.

Will be interesting to see how this move changes the market again. Especially if it does well and we see a new market segment creating more and more of these larger sensor cameras to attach to phones.

^ Crikey! I surely hope that they are more competent at phone design than they are at web design.

Rick, my first thought was that it reminded me of something else.

Then I remembered the plug-in QWERTY keyboard that I bought many moons ago.

My gut feeling is that this handy little doovey will have about the same longevity, as I'm sure the phone manufacturers R&D people are flat out trying to fit all that it offers into their phones.
    Cheers

Didn’t this happen in 2015 but with iOS. This is just the Android version, no? Or has the module changed?

It's the natural progression of things in a consumerised world:

    1. Give me something that I could really make some use of...

    2. Gimme sommink someone else hasn't got yet...

    3. Gimmick...

(Stupidly, by stage 3 everyone else has already got one anyway, so they change it
    a bit and start over)
