Since there is no Fujifilm subforum, I guess this is the closest one to post this thread. I was looking for a smaller compact camera and this little fella fit the bill. I was going to choose the Sony NEX 5n but it requires me to buy additional lenses (which aren't really that fast), no full flash or hot shoe available, and another optional EVF. With the Fuji, I can use my existing Nikon speedlights in manual mode or in SU 4 mode. Anyone interested in getting the new Fuji cams? The Xpro - 1 looks really nice too.

The RAW or RAF files can be edited using the latest updates from Adobe CS5 if you have it.

Feel free to share you pictures here.

Ia this a SLR or point and shoot? If so does it have a view finder? The images appear to be very sharp!:sport18:

Thank you. It is a point and shoot. The Fuji Xpro-1 is the newly release mirrorless camera with interchangeable lenses.

Its neither. Its an EVIL camera (http://www.ausphotography.net.au/forum/showthread.php?97570-DSLRs-are-dead-long-live-quot-3rd-gen-cameras-quot&highlight=EVIL). The newish, mirrorless design that is seeing a lot of sales.

It takes great shots!
Good colours too, but then again, Fuji have always had great lenses and excellent sensors too.
I've owned a few Fujis, one of them having taken literally hundreds of thousands of photos with about 6 different people, and it still works well.

Actually Rick, I think you meant the X100.
X10 had neither an EVF nor interchangeable lens. Its an advance compact like the Olympus XZ1.

Quick correction but going a bit OT. X100 also isn't an EVIL. It has an hybrid EVF but lens is fixed.

Sorry.. back to the X10. A friend has bought one and when I next catchup with him, looking forward to playing with it. :)

Yup. Manufacturers are competing very well in having the best sensor, features, and lenses of course. This is all good for us the consumers.

Let us know what you think about the X10 once your done playing with it. It is a fun compact camera.

I picked up an X10 this week to replace the P&S that lives in my handbag and it's a great little camera. Full manual controls, RAW, fast lens (f2.0 - 2.8), decent zoom range (28-112) and all the controls that I frequently use are directly accessible via mode dials and buttons, without the need to drill down into the menus.

I've only taken a few test shots so far, but image quality seems very good (processing in LR3). Will it replace my 5DII? Not a chance. But I can tell I'm going to have a lot of fun with this little camera.

Some test shots (just ignore the randomness of the subject matter):

Congrats on your Fuji X10. Have you updated the firmware yet? I love the butterfly shot the most.

Hope its ok to post Fuji X100 pics in this thread, i have had the X100 for a couple of months and am very impressed with it. The fixed prime lens suits me and helps me to think outside the square so to speak.

Hmm. Fuji X10, X100, X100s, XPro1. Fixed lens, interchangeable.
