Maybe a coating of clear lacquer over it next to keep the dust off the vital parts.

Why?

The ONLY reason would be if it was dropped into salt water (ocean) and was already fully wet with seawater inside and you were hoping to maybe resurrect it.

Or you want an insurance payout so you could buy :plogo: :cool:

Of course he's cleaning it the wrong way -- water restrictions in that part of the country don't allow for the use of hoses at certain times of the day.

Crikey, I spray mine with a spray bottle of fresh water pretty often, especially after they get salt water on them, but a hose is going a bit far.

I know these cameras are supposed to be sealed to some degree, but I aint takin' no chances with my lil baby!!!
