View Full Version : Image size for CC. Please be aware that scrolling often makes it difficult to CC.

I've basically posted this in Kym's monitor survey.

I have a '22 inch' monitor, 1920 X 1080, that is the way the manufacturer describes it, which I think is about middle of the road on AP.

Someone will undoubtedly correct me if I'm wrong.

I would like to invite those who would like me to look at their pictures, and maybe even comment on them, to please be aware that a 1024 pixel height in portrait mode requires me to 'scroll', which usually means that I don't see your picture in it's entirety.

I'm sorry, but I find it really hard to give CC on an image that requires me to scroll.

Also try CTRL + and CTRL -, these increase and decrease size respectively, CRTL 0 returns to default.

Thanks for the feedback gentleman.

I think I'll trim my portrait crops back to 700 odd.

Our camera club uses 1024 wide and 768 high as the max limits to show projected images and I find these work well with monitors also.

Kevin, Added to Rick's post, if on a PC, you can just hold down the CTRL Key and scroll your mouse wheel either way to can size.

Yeah, I don't think 1024pixel high images are really necessary.

I limit my portrait orientation images to about 800pixels in most cases, and resize to this value(unless I've been asleep and do something incompetent).
Landscape orientation I do at 1024 most of the time and occasionally(by mistake) at 900, which then maxes out the vertical resolution at about 700 or so at the native 4:6 sensor ratio.
