Doesn't look like I'll be able to make it during those dates but here's a video I took with my little canon powershot while I was up there last. It would be good to go back and I know you'll enjoy it mate.

Since first climbing Bluff Knoll I have always wanted to do this but been a little daunted.

17 minutes if your extremely fit and run it! :D That's how long it took one man to run it from memory.

Should take you about 1 1/2 hours at a casual walk up and going back can be just as hard, only relatively quicker. But seeing as you'll want to take heaps of shots - take plently of food and water. We walked up in the earlish morning, wandered around, took photos, had lunch, then came back down after about a 8 hour day out.

That's hoofing it Tim, can't imagine doing it in that time. I ran up there for outdoor education in school and made it up there in about 27 minutes.
Sounds like fun - but I gave up walking up hills when I got out of the Army :D:D
Have fun I look forward to seeing the photos.

That's still quite an achievement! I'll have to give it a crack one day. :D

That was a loooooong time ago, when I didn't have to work so hard to maintain my body. A few extra pounds these days. But I'm training more often at the moment as I'm looking to do the canyoning in the Blue Mountains.
I'll be at sunny Cape Preston, enjoying red dirt and bon bons.
man if i was in WA i would be there like a shot -- the sterling ranges was by far one of the best highlights when I was over there last.
17 minutes..pfftt.. 16.5 minutes with camera gear ;)
you can't take a bad shot in this place.. have fun and happy new year to yas.

Definitely some nice shots there Gerry, in fact that second one I've taken from the same position by the look of it, maybe a little lower though.

Winter would be good - greener and cooler for the climb, you could count me in. Don't think you'll get a mountain bike up there though :D

Hi all,
I've crossed Bluff Knoll to Ellen Peak and back in a two day weekend a couple of time and have all the gear to do an over nighter up there.
If you are keen to go up anytime, please let me know.
Don't forget there is a sticky at the top of this forum for posting links to threads like this.
We don't check here every week.
Cheers,
Wayne.
