Introduction

Hi, I'm Val and I'm very new to this site. Addicted to photography but still class myself as a beginner. I have a Nikon D5000 DSLR, having upgraded from a Canon compact which I dearly loved but which broke (heavy farm duties!)

Welcome to AP Val, enjoy the addiction, it's not harmful (except on the bank balance), See you on the forums!

You're so right about the bank balance, especially with an SLR. First this lens, then perhaps that lens, then we need a new bag to carry it all in, not forgetting the tripod, the filters (of which I don't have any at the moment) the extension tubes and so on and so on!! Fun way to spend money though, aint it?
