Morning folks,
Can anyone give me some guidance of the life expectancy of a D700 Scan disk. I purchased the current one in May and it died overnight.
Thanks
Graeme

they should be good for years and years. Memory cards have no moving parts and they are designed to be written to thousands of times. However, like any other piece of equipment, from a car, to a computer, microwave etc, they can and do fail, and can do so at anytime!
Having said this I assume you are talking about a memory card that goes in your D700? and the company is Sandisk?

If it failed Overnight I'd suggest you take it back to the shop where they should replace it

If you have photos in it. Try SanDisk Rescue Pro, software designed to recover files from memory cards

if you bought your sandisk online for a good price then 80% chance it's fake
keep that in mind when shopping
