Just wondering if anyone here has and uses a Gimal head. These are fairly popular overseas for birding/wildlife and sports photography.

I only know of one chap who has one,he has a JOBU Jnr 2 see this link http://www.jobu-design.com/catalog/item/2588354/4163794.htm
I think these are made in Canada, and around $250-$300.My friend really enjoys using this for some aspects of his birding.

I have just found out about these, see this link http://stores.ebay.com.au/Digital-Video-Product/_i.html?_fsub=9114604 they are made in India
and I like the look of this one http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Mini-Gimbal-Ball-Head-200mm-300mm-400mm-Free-Plate-/140587963486?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20bbb2145e#ht_5576wt_968

Has anyone here got any of this Indian gear?? and what is it like??,to me I think I actually like the look of the one in the last link better than the JOBU Jnr 2.some might say the build quality might not be good in the Indian ones, but I bought some very expensive astronomy gear that was made in Canada once, and it was very, very disappointing quality wise.

It appears not too many photographers' in Australia use these style of heads, but hopefully by asking, some here might be able to advise me.
As I would like to use it for birding and wildlife.

Thanks.FB

Think I am going to pull the trigger on that one Kevin, looks quite reasonable,I think that link gives some very good images of the gear in use, this helps a lot when making a decision,The quality of much gear from India has really improved over recent times, and for just under $150 posted certainly very well priced compared to others I've looked at-will let you know Kevin.
