Well, Iceland is at it again - this time Grimsvotn volcano under a bigger icecap than last year's Eyjafjallajokull eruption. So far , according to my friend in Iceland, the south east is covered in ash including Jokulsarlon - that ice lagoon is now just black topped. I wonder if air traffic will be affected again.
If anyone's interested - a web cam over the lagoon - usually its blue ice --- now with a black ash topping ...

Just think, all those savings we have tried to make in relation to the emmitting of greenhouse gasses has just gone out the window!
Hopefully it wil settle down soon, otherwise air traffic around Europe will come to another grinding halt.

Thats a great link! Might have to go and do some googling, it's really quite fascinating (once you remove the emotional part)!!

Wow dtoh, that is quite a view anyway! Add the volcano in the distance and that is just amazing.

OMG!!! That is amazing to watch, the lightening is extraordinary. It would be an amazing thing to experience close up, I think I'll add that to the list of things I want to do - may even be the last if I get too clolse!!!
