Night and I mean Night shoot

Any body keen to go and shot the stars and the Planets?

I know it's late or early notice, but I have only a short time back and was thinking of this Sunday night 22Nd.

With some of the Planets playing their part, I feel it's a great chance.

Well if I was over there I'd love to Roosta. I tried to upload a Stellarium screendump for you but as usual the forum just gives me a red !.

Pre dawn in the east Mars, Venus and Mercury will be tightly grouped with Jupiter up above them, it's a nice conjunction for Sunday. Visible for you from about 5.15 am. If you can get a good foreground interest object it will look terrific.

Will try to see what the weather is up to, but I was thinking more of early evening rather than very early morning. We need somewhere with out to much ambient light and a good access to the south celestial pole region, or milky way - southern x.

Serpentine Dam would give you that plus not too much light pollution.
