View Full Version : Studio flashes with LED modelling lights

I really, really like the look of these studio flashes, which have 600Ws (!!!) flash elements surrounded by an LED array:

The LEDs use less power and stay a lot cooler than traditional tungsten modelling lights. I think the only downside is that they probably wouldn't model accurately with some modifiers (e.g. honeycomb grids or snoots).

What do other strobists think? :)

How much is it? :) That's my biggest question. :D

looks alright to me, Ive been using LED arrays for professional work for quite some time now without strobes, and they are only effective when used in naked light, so any modifiers placed in front of them will drastically affect their ouput.

Considering the pricing I managed to find, they would be worth buying just to trial them. If they didnt work out - no big loss!
