RAW images not recording

I shoot large RAW and medium JPG onto a Sandisc Extreme III 4gb card. Of late there have been instances where some RAW files in a sequence have not been recorded. For example, the first 15 images in a shoot will be both RAW and JPG, with the next three just JPG followed by the rest being recorded in both formats. Can someone please advise what might be happening here and what the solution is? Cheers :food04:

Hi Sean, have you tried this with another card yet? What camera is it and have you updated the camera to the latest firmware if possible?

Thanks JM...an EOS 40D and no, I have not yet uploaded the latest firmware to the camera (it's on the 'puter), nor have I tried with another card...but I will. Cheers :food04:

Please forgive this question - you're not switching the camera to basic mode at any point, are you? Basic mode can't do raw, as far as I know.
