Brisbane to Adelaide Drive - advice.

hiya,

In July we are going to drive from Brisbane to Adelaide - for a wedding - and then on the way back my parents will also come back with us.

On the way down we would like to go via the ACT - as we havent been before.

Has anyone done this before? or does any one have any advice on the best way to go or things that are good to stop and see?

If you want to go to Canberra you either have to come down past Sydney then down the Hume Highway, or you will have to cut a long way east from the Newell Highway and then backtrack out again. Plenty to see in Canberra. You could easily spend a week there if you want to visit the museums and major public buildings.
