I would have to ask why, and is it legal. Considering we are not supposed to touch mobile phones while driving anymore, I can see the police etc, taking a very dim view of anything like this.

Have spent many a day in the passenger seat with a laptop on my knee, with the latest maps and off road tracks loaded up - while exploring remote locations. Its not much fun on rough roads to have a laptop jumping around on your knees , I think if you can design this for passenger use it would be great !

This is ONLY used while I am setup somewhere and not while I am driving.

The police have a very similar setup themselves these days except it doesn't take up the front seat.
