FYI... they didn't take the hood, only the 300mm has the hood in-place.
But not the hard case for the 300mm.

Most likely someone knew you had that gear given the list it is a valuable kit. If not, then a lucky thief targeting your place. Hopefully it's insured. Keep a look out on Ebay, Gumtree and camera sales sites as a list like that will really only have interest to photographers or those who know it's true worth. Also worth talking to local pawn shops if any.

Mate, sorry to hear your loss. That's a large and expensive lump of gear to replace.

Keep an eye on ebay. Have heard of several cases of stolen items being put on there and succesfully retrieved by the rightful owners.

Sorry to hear your bad news - nothing nice about someone riffling through your belongings and then taking what they please. :(
....Cash Converters is another place to try.......definitely keep an eye on eBay for the next few months......
It's great you have the serial numbers also as there will be no doubt if the gear turns up who it belongs to. :)
Does Canon Australia keep a record of stolen gear/serial numbers???? I know if gear is left for service/repair etc they take note of the serial numbers - they told me that once the gear is on their system it stays there for future reference........just a thought in case the gear turns up at Canon at a later date.
All the best - hope the gear turns up.

Thank God you had the serial numbers. It is a good idea to make a spreadsheet with all your gear listed and the serial numbers - means you have something you can just hand to the police. And if you inclide values it is good for them if they catch someone.

Also a good idea to visit pawn shops / secondhand camera dealers locally - although if stolen by someone who intends to use it you may have a harder time getting things back.

It's a dreadful feeling and I hope you get it all back.
