best settings

i am heading off to echuca airshow in an hours time
i have never shot at airshows
i was thinking of shooting at iso 400 1000 sec and f11 to start with of course i know this will change with conditions
any one got any tips

Gday Macca Im not that experienced but 1000 of a sec is very slow even for panning, but like I said im not that experienced.
