I've been happily using CLS to control manual flash power on OCF. Looking at radio triggers all of the budget ones (RFs, Cactus, etc) require you to dial the power on the flash unit. I know the PW has that AC3 you can buy to control power from camera.

Are there any in between, I don't need TTL but I would like to control it all from camera if possible :th3: atm I still take many tries to get the power right, I know you light meter strobists there can set it up within 2 goes but I'm still a way off

Have a look at the Pixel Knights, TR331 is for Nikon, you will find them on the good old Ebay, if Ebay is not your thing pop into your favorite Camera Retailer and ask them to source them for you from FVE.

I had a Canon set briefly for testing before I sold them today, was able to control the power output level of the flash attached to the receiver from the camera basically. You can set your receivers into any of 5 groups and control the output of each group from the trigger unit on camera.

You could get a whole lot of the Pixels for the price of just one pocket wizard

Picked up a set of the Pixel Knights today (TR-332 for a canon - $295) and have only just started to learn how to use them. The main reason for choosing these over the Pocket Wizards was the ability to use TTL with a non Canon flash (Sigma EF 530 DG ST). Everything I read about the PW's was they wouldn't support TTL on the Sigma (manual mode only). Second reason was price.

I've run off a few test shots today and so far the only problem I have come across is the occasional misfire (about 1 in every 20 shots). I'll update as I learn more about them.

Check out this outfit - I have their Atlas triggers.
They work along side my PW+2's, and Sekonic L358 with R32 transmitter unit.

Phottix will be coming out with the Odin in the near future - you can control multiple flashes in either TTL mode, or manual mode, and set the power output of each flash group from the Odin transmitter on your camera, rather than having to set it manually on each flash.

The Odin was released a couple of weeks ago, and I have been playing with a (pre-release) set for a few months. I'm loving it so far - lots of flexibility, and reliable triggering.
I've published a review of the Odin (http://martybugs.net/blog/blog.cgi/gear/Phottix-Odin-TTL-Flash-Trigger.html) on my blog.
