I'm considering the purchase of a LensAlign Mk II. Does anyone own one? Would you recommend them?
I have a LensAlign MkII and it does the job. As this is something you only use when you get a new lens or body, it spends most of its time packed away (in my case in a shoe box). Just after I got mine, I found another one that folds down flat for easy storage and is about half the price (<$50). If I can remember what it’s called, I will post a link to the site.
Hope this helps
Sorry to take so long to get back to you.
Here is the other version I mentioned, have also found a review that might help explain the differences.

^ Much appreciated Gollum. Thanks.
I just received my Datacolor Spyderlenscal from Amazon.
Used it to recalibrate some lenses that I had previously done using a tape measure. Made some more adjustments, hope that they work out in the field.
My impressions are.... it does what it is suppose to, folds flat (10mm high), reasonably well built, brass thread insert for tripod mount, bulls eye level and relatively cheap for something that you use once when you buy a new lens ($A72.42 including freight).
