Has anyone used the grain effect in LR3. The best thing about it (I think) is that it is independent to the Noise reduction and sharpen function. I guess that's why you do it last:rolleyes:

It's a nice natural looking grain, reminds me of the Tmax 400 film I used to use way back.

I like having the option and it really brings out some B/W and Duo images.

I've even used it for aging colour for "that retro look".

It's a very good point to make the distinction between the noise it removes and the grain it adds.

It really does matter LR3's case.

(Incidentally a lovely example image also Jase. Just had to say it. hehe!)

Quite a beautiful photo, I would love to see it in high resolution. I wondering if the movement in the leaves of the tree add or subtract from the photo???
