View Full Version : Gitzo bargain
For anyone who is, like me, trying to justify why I should buy a Gitzo, it just got easier!
B&H Photo Video in USA has the Gitzo GT3541LS for $600 ! My trembling finger is hovering over the 'Buy Now' button...
This is about $150 less than any other price I have seen lately in USA, and about $700 cheaper than the price in Australia.

I'd get hit over the head with a tripod if I bought any more gear at present. I bought a Gitzo Monopod off them before Christmas at a very good price. Makes me seriously think about upgrading the Manfrotto tripod I have... but probably better not to.

Just had the most amazing service from B&H.
I ordered the tripod on Wednesday 19th at 3.00 pm, and it was delivered to my door at 10.00 am on Monday 24th.
That's less than 3 working days from New York!
Very Happy! :D:D

You should get good service from the 3541LS - it's a superb platform.
If you do any significant amount of bush work, the optional foot spikes can make a big difference (~$US 43).
If you make up a small shim with two holes drilled in it, you can bolt it under the head (using the brass bolt that secures the head) and hang your camera pack on it using a small carabiner for extra mass stability.
If you're really hot to spend more while the dollar is good have a look at the Markins Q20 ball head (rated to 50kg) see https://www.ppsna.com/ - like the tripod, it's a work of art and they work together very well.

Hi
I already have the Markins M10...
I also ordered an RRS TA-3-LB levelling base (for levelling the pan head for panoramas).
