EF-S55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS kit lens

Hello

is it just me or is it almost impossible to get a smooth action going when trying to use the zoom with this lens? Doesn't seem loose enough. I am only trying the kit lenses for the first time.

Mine is smooth - maybe being a new lens it is stiff with it freeing up with use.

Mine is also smooth, if you bought it at a local shop you could always take it back and see if you can try another lens to compare.

Thanks for the advice...I will give it a few more days of use and see if it does loosen up a bit...could also just be me being a bit fumbly.
