Just shot and developed my first roll of Rollie Pan 25 yesterday. I rated it at ISO25, souped it in D-76 for 5 minutes. These pics won't win any awards, but it's a good starting point for me to learn about the film. I think with the almost complete lack of grain, I could go for a 1:1 dilution to try to get a little more contrast.

The film has some serious curl, but also some serious dynamic range. The first shot below I wanted the weed in the foreground as a silhouette, so the exposure was based on the train in the background. The weed was in a semi enclosed shed. I was amazed to find full shadow detail on the plant! I'm going to shoot another roll or two this week, but so far so good. Pity it was so windy yesterday, as I had to use some fairly slow shutter speeds.

The straight scan came out fairly flat/gray, so I had to tweak the curves more than I normally would with Tri-X or similar. Scanned with Canon 8800f, but can't wait to throw them in the Durst tonight and get some prints.

great, i have got some iso25 film, hopefully they turn out well, or i may have to try a roll or two of this film. What sort of dynamic range do you gain compared to 400 film?

hard to say at this stage Fabian, I'm thinking at least two stops over tri-x @ 400

Those shots came out great !

I tried some a few weeks ago, and was really let down by it though. It was some expired stock from Michael's, and I tried the Rollei developer too (the film and developer came in a "sample" pack, in one of those nice little wooden boxes). I shot it at 25, but was more like a 12 (maybe 6 ?) film though !

You've inspired me to try it again though ! Thanks !!!
