580ex2 flash

just getting myself into flash photography so i got a 580ex2 the other day and started playing with it last night,(photo result attached)
i also got two pocket wizard plus 2, the rang is great.
only thing was i thought for some reason E-TTL would work through them but it has not for me so far.
can any one offer advise on this set up or in general for flash.....?60782
