View Full Version : Some Velvia 50 shots
These few are from my first couple of `120 rolls of Velvia 50 taken with my Bronica S2A
I have discovered metering accurately with this film is critical, although most shots have come out reasonably well exposed.
I am fairly sure I used a warming filter on the first three photos.
Cheers.

Sublime colours in these, they are great. I might have to rip out a roll of velvia and put er in the rb67 for a weekend soon, i'm inspired :)
Thanks - The price per shot makes you stop and think about things a bit more!

I really like the composition and subject of the first 2. Pitty about the guard rail (?) in the first one.
Anyway, great shots, and i agree about taking your time with film. Its good to think before you just snap away 100 shots like on digital :)

May have to pull the 4x5 out soon to burn some Velvia after seeing these. They come to about $12-15 per shot, no scan.

Thanks! - I swear that guard rail wasn't in the view finder! :D

I would love to have a crack at 4x5 - not sure if my wallet would appreciate it though!
Although I am sure that once looking at them, it would be worth it.

I buy all my film from the US,velvia 4x5 is $25 a pack
Thanks Leigh!
David - do you buy in bulk lots? From what I have seen, freight is the main killer - if I could get an order freighted for about $20 US is would be worthwhile, most are around $45-$60 though :(

Hi Leigh
I did tell a slight fib, I buy Foma 5x7 of Chris Reid at Blanco Negro, he is almost on par with the US with his price for the Foma.
Not really in bulk, as an example I would buy, 2 packs hp5 5x7, 2 packs 4x5 velvia 50, 1 pack of acros 4x5, 2 packs of 5 of velvia 35mm, 1 pack of 5 of velvia 120, and around 15 assorted rolls of 35mm B&W films.
Velvia 35mm here is around $20 a roll, over there it's about $7 per roll, the last time I got charged $53 for freight, I am still in front, compared to if I bought it here.
Regards
David
