Photographing Sports Carnival

Was asked to shoot a grandfinal netball carnival on the week-end by the publicity officer, who had got the ok from all the teams to take photos. Just wondering of what the implications are (if any) of putting these photos up on my website?

Unless you have signed away copyright, then no restriction legally, they are your images. You just can't use the likeness of a person for promotion or affiliation with any product or service unless they have signed a model release.

If you made any agreement with the association not to publish or display etc, then I would adhere to that.

No have not signed away copyrights, and no agreements made with the assocation not to publish.

Then, if they have invited you onto (what may be) enclosed lands, then they images are yours to do with as you please (sell, display, burn at the stake) - so long as you don't seek to use them commercially (ie. say that is person endorses Brand X etc.)
