Hey, Im after some advice on how i could best shoot exhaust flames.
Trying to shoot a stationary motorcycle and capture the split second flames that shoot out the exhaust from time to time, while also idealy lighting the bike.
How would i get the best results? I have a strong photography knowledge, but low on equipment.... a tripod, nikon d40x, thats all.
My assumption would be at night, pitch black, long shutter (10 seconds or so, time to get the flame) and on camera flash to light the bike? maybe?
or should i go for bulb style shutter (more like 10 mins or something) and no flash?
