From the Canon web site - its handy to get an idea on focal lengths if your just starting out.
It only applies to focal length e.g. mm not Canon specifically:)
Focal Length Comparison (http://www.usa.canon.com/app/html/EFLenses101/focal_length.html)
Very Handy, Thanks Michael

1200mm pfft is that all LOL, I'll use my scope for that sort of focal length. It comes with 203mm of aperture also, not sure of the lens size of the camera lens.

Yeah Mirror, I also use a 80mm aperture scope but that maxes out at 900mm

You know, I would be interested to catch up some time and pick your brain about Astro photography. Looking at getting a scope soon and could do with a bit of insight - if your up for it?
Cheers
Smart move..........don't trust sales people.
I hope you're not one of them Andrew......Sorry

Your soul can be saved, don't worry, but you must act quickly. Follow these simple steps:
1: Eat Macs immediately. I suggest a condiment of some type, makes them go down easier.
2: Buy PC
3: Purchase this and send to me http://www.canon.com.au/products/visual/cameras_lenses_accessories/telephoto_zoom_lenses/ef_70-200mm2.8lisusm.aspx
This should do the trick.

It's a f/5.6 - does that help?
