Bag for 20D , gripped

Hey,

I would like to get a new camera bag for my 20D (gripped).

I would like to fit in:

- 20D with grip and a sigma 17-70
- Canon 100-300
- 90mm Tamron
- 430 flash
- bits and pieces like batteries etc.

Not sure if I should go with a shoulder bag or a backpack style bag. I would like to be able to stuff it into a big backpack while hiking somewhere though...

I am going to travel soon through NZ, Thailand, India etc. and would just like to have all my bits and pieces in one bag.

At the moment I have a shoulder bag which only fits my gripped camera with a lens attached....

Would be greatful for some suggestions. I guess 20D,30D,40D,50D are all roughly the same size so I am wondering what bags you guys use?

I use a backpack style for my 50d, 17-70, 70-200 gear.

Which one do you use?

I would like to have something for quick access when i walk somewhere and need to change the lens for instance....And if I am wearing a daypack anyway it might be better to get a shoulder bag so that i dont have 2 backpacks....hmmmm.....

I just tried out my sons lowpro slingshot 100AW (it is good for quick access) with my 50D with the grip on and the sigma 17-70, flash and one other zoom and its a little tight fit so the 200AW could be suitable. Not sure how big the 100-300L is to compare.
The sling bag is good for quick access without having to take it off.

Hey, yeah these slingbags look great.

I think I would like to have something like that, but with space for other stuff as well....

So havening one "camera and lens" compartment and one for normal stuff you need during the day....

Any suggestions :) ?

If you aren't carrying a tripod then have a look at Lowepro fastpack350 :th3:. It's my man (not main) bag at the moment, I take it everywhere.

Very interesting pack as well...i might actually look into getting a normal "outdoor" daypack from macpac or similar and then divide it with a compartment for normal stuff and one for the camera and lenses with little compartments like in the camera bags.....


Deuter for instance has already a divided main compartment and bottom compartment.....

So I would basically just need the "inner" bit of a camera bag....

Anybody approached something like that :) ?

Check out f-stop gear from the US, I have one of their shoulder bags for when I'm shooting my climbing stuff. Top stuff and not that expensive considering the quality.

Very cool site. And they sell the inner parts separate as well. that was what i was looking for.
