I shopped around and ended up with an Australian store bought (with receipt) 7D Body and 24-70 2.8L lens for under 3K (both used, seperate buys)... takes some time and a lot of diligance, but buying second hand can provide good bargains.

Purchased from O/S grey import for about$2200. with 2 kit lens and including customs.

DDP or DWI have good prices but they are grey imports so i prefer to buy camera bodies in oz for warranty issues, lenses have international warranties so there should be no drama there
