How much does it impede on the field of view at 14mm? Good idea and I have heard that Lee and Cokin were looking at coming up with a solution to the 14-24 bulbous front element issue.

Nice one, very ingenious. What is it made from and how did you put it together?

Hi the material is black nylon chosen mostly for it stable UV characteristics and reasonable machinability. The ring is a light push fit on the std lens hood and is very secure.I have chosen the std cokin filter holder so std 130x170 filters can be used.I will also make a plate to adjust it up to 150mm square filters .Between these two filter sizes the landscape guys should be well served
cheers jim
Thanks Jim it sounds and looks much better than the cokin universal adapter i use with the x-pro holder with this lens. It works well but is flimsy. If your thinking about making them to sell I would be interested. Cheers Chris

Hi Jim,
Thanks for posting the photos of your 14-24 adapter ring.
I own a second copy of the 14-24 hood. Would it be possible for you to give a more detailed explanation with photos of how you put your 14-24 adapter ring together and the parts you need to complete the setup.
Thanks,
FredSG
