Hello,
Does anybody here uses a different than the normal eyecup on their Canon DSLR?
I find it sometimes a uncomfortable and as well it is too close to the camera so my nose always fogs up the display.
Are there any options to replace it with something better, which covers they eye better?
Cheers,
Mirc

I got an eBay brand one for my Canon, It was a lot bigger and let me really get involved in the shot without seeing the reflections of the LCD panel.
Give eBay a try and see what you find.

Hey, thanks, that might help.
What does it mean that it reduces the magnification by 30%?

I have used a 1.5 magnification extender plus a 3rd party eyecup on my 400D as my glasses kept touching. This combo works quite well. The Canon extender I bought from CamerasDirect but the eyecup I managed to find on ebay for a couple of dollars.

Hey,
I still dont really understand what it means if the extender reduces the magnification by 30%.
Does this mean that my viewfinder gets bigger or smaller or how?
And what is a 1.5 magnification extender :)?
Sorry for all the questions...

Bit of a misnomer this as the 1.5 refers to the distance that this eyepiece extends away from the standard eyepiece ie 1.5cm. The Canon EP-EX15 Eyepiece Extender is a handy gadget for users to look through the Canon SLR viewfinder especially when wearing glasses or sunglasses. Suits Canon EOS 20D, 30D, 40D, 50D, 5D, 5D MKII, 1D, 1D MKII, 1D MKII N.
