Maybe I'll get it before the election :beer_mug: :p

Woo Hoo!!! 100mB Internet at home!!!!!

The national capital rollouts are located at Victoria Park in Perth and Riverstone, Sydney, and an unspecified region in Brisbane's inner north. Victoria, Western Australia, South Australia and Queensland have been granted two new regional sites.

In Victoria, service areas will be built at Bacchus Marsh and South Morang, while Geraldton and Mandurah have been selected for Western Australia. Springfield Lakes and Toowoomba have been selected in Queensland. In South Australia, the two new sites will be Modbury and Prospect.

NSW, the ACT and the Northern Territory have each received one new regional service area in Coffs Harbour, Gungahlin and Casuarina respectively.

Aside from Willunga, the remaining four trial sites already earmarked for construction are located at Brunswick in Melbourne, Townsville in Queensland, and Minnamurra/Kiama Downs and Armidale in NSW.

Of course AP benefits if the main tech guy has blinkin fantastic internet! :th3:

YES!!!

If Labor goes in the next election we lose NBN (bad)
If Labor goes in the next election we don't have an Internet filter (good)

I'm torn!

If it is anything like the rollout here in Tasmania..it sucks!

Midway Point got the first service, but the cabling only goes along the main streets. If you live a couple of blocks from where the cables are, people are having real trouble getting connected. They even had the people installing the cables turn up at locations and 'work', for the media. Yep, the media rocks in, gets photos of the installers putting the NBN cable into place. Media leaves, and the installers pack up and leave too.

For those that can get it, well done, but seems to be rather farsical, here in Tas anyway.

Keith ... Isn't it a good feeling!

Just got a response from Internode sales...

We are aware of the newly announced roll-out areas for FTTH services, However due to limitations we cannot pre order just yet. Once the Fibre Drops and roll-out commences in your locality, If your street is included you will be able to apply for Fibre To The Home via Internode.

Seriously ... and I'm having a bit of fun in this thread...
The point is that ALL Australians should have access to decent affordable communications services
as it is a 21st century essential service like water and energy.

That's not good. And it is very political. But as I said above, ALL Australians should expect
decent affordable communications services.

The most important part of that quote Kym, seems to be "if your street is included", cause here in Tassie, most aren't. Just the main streets and roads through each town only.

Yes I noticed that part too. Could be a very limited roll out then.
