Northern WWII Fortification.

Situated on Cape Pallarenda, north of Townsville, this gun emplacement is among the few survivors from WWII. Overlooking Cleveland Bay & Magnetic Island it is now a protected area.

Another bit of history revealed, John. It's amazing how many fortifications, bunkers and store sites from WWII there are dotted around the coastline. Thanks for sharing this.
