What is the best all round macro lens for a Sony? is the 100mm Sony worth almost twice what the 90mm Tamron is?

Thanks, I had the Tamron on my Nikon D3000 and was fairly happy with it. I was wondering if the Sony had anything special to justify the extra $$$.

I use a 50mm f/2.8 macro (SAL 50M28) lens for really close up work and I use the same lens for portrait work which makes it a very versatile lens in that respect but the 100mm will allow you to shoot macro subjects from a greater distance. The lens cost around $800but it's worth it for the fine detail that it is able to capture as well as it's versatility.
