Follow the links to add a layer mask to Adobe Photoshop Elements program.
This makes things so much easier.
Just dowload the file and load into your program as instructed.
For Elements 5 and under see here:

For Elements 6 and up here:

Please leave feedback if you have done the download and used the new layer mask
I find it makes working in elements just soooo much easier.
Feedback appreciated for others
Thanks
Hi,
I have downloaded and held the Shift key down when loading the editor. I have selected 'Photo Effects in the Effects palette but now I am having trouble finding where the 'category menu' is. This may seem like a silly question but what are they talking about?
Any advice/help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
:)
I downloaded the version for PSE v4.0. Only had a quick play but seems to work pretty well.
So thanks for this...
Cheers.

Hi Amy,
Did you put the file into the elements program (in explore) where it advised you to?
After you have loaded it to the program then open Elements
On the right hand side (where you have the layer and history palette, there is an 'Artwork and Effects' tab at the top. The Layer Mask will be here.
Hope that helps.
Found it!!
Thanks for your help RamblinR. I will have a play around with it when I get some time.
Thanks again
:)
