photoshop CS3 move tool help

For some reason unexpectedly, the move tool in photoshop is not working properly - it won't highlight (in that dotted/dash) square shape around photos so I'm unable to manouver them in set places. Any ideas? I must have deactivated it somehow. Even shutting the program down doesn't help. Thanks in advance for your help. Renee

You have been a member here for over 3 months and both your posts are asking for help. How about joining in a bit more and posting some photos etc?

LOL I had to go and check what the move tool was!! You do have two active layers?
