Hey guys, no idea where to post this, I thought there was a flash topic to post this sorta stuff? if so may it please be moved there.


The following is my Nikon Gear, taken on a Canon EOS 300D.

My Nikon D100 Body + Battery Grip

Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 sort of out of focus + shadow

not sure how you eliminate shadows, any tips?

Re your shadows - just be mindful of where you put your flash.

I'm guessing you used a light tent? If so, your lights should be on the side of that - coming through the tent not directly from/on the camera.

If you don't have any specific lights just yet, some simple desk lamps may suffice (depending upon how big your tent is) but Bunnings (or any hardware shop) will have cheap lights to get started with before splashing out and spending a lot of $$ on lighting gear.

okay thanks michelle, I had the girlfriend holding the light above the tent, but now I'll get her to hold it to the side haha, I'll see how it goes on my next lot of shots :)
