I see, so Thing just does his own thing then. :p
Yeah pretty much...until Mrs. Thing steps into the picture (Pun intented...AH HAHAHAHAH I crack myself UP!! :D )
haha, geez what a thread.
I'm also looking at getting some prints done. I think I sent thing a PM a while back - I may have to send another.
How do his prices compare with Brilliant Prints?? Around 240 for an A3 framed is a bit steep? Or am I just new to this canvas thing.
I'm not sure what size people get them printed at, but personally I'd be looking at around A2.
Thing, PM sent.

My sister made some enquiries about canvas printing and was told that they print a 6 X 4 or A4 size image and then scan it using a high resolution scanner so that it can be printed at the required size. I imagine that if you scanned a 6 x 4 inch image @ 2400 you would have a resolution of 14400 x 9600 which when printed at 300 dpi would print out @ 48 x 32 inch. Sounds logical. Maybey Thing can enlighten us.
yeah, each time i send a job away to a printer its 300dpi, just never experienced anything with canvas before...
its a good option
Where is thing these days? I haven't seen any of his posts for a while.
LOL Iv'e just replied to Bax & Sammi's pm's 5 minutes ago and after doing so stumbled back over this thread. Somewhere here on the site are all the prices and details. I'll put it in a more obvious place for everyone over the weekend. Along with details of exactly what I do to clear things up (pardon the pun!)
I am late to reply here, sorry!
I got a canvas on Friday from Brilliant Prints and it is wonderful
Hands down I think canvas is the way to go...:p
I have a few shots that I would like printed to go into my sanctum sanctorum...so this might be worth doing some research into a local printer.

Is it possible to get 'glossy canvasses', the ones I have seen have been a matt finish?
