What processing software are you using?

This (http://www.ausphotography.net.au/forum/showthread.php?t=14971&highlight=resizing)thread will help.

Hey Lucas, welcome :D
It might help if you tell us what ,if any , photo editing software you have, we can then offer specific directions for your software.
Usally it a case of image size( adjust longest side to 1024, or smaller) >image quality (adjust slider until you are with in the desired range. This is for Photoshop. I'm presuming most others are similar.
There are other resizers available online I'm sure someone else will come along with a link if you don't have software currently available.
Hope this helps, look forward to seeing some images:D:th3:

Edit, I must be a really slow typist

In elements, simply go to "Save for Web". On the right you will see a selection for the number of pixels wide, just type in 1024. Up the top right there is an arrow pointing right. Click that and type in a file size ie 250K. Hit ok, and find a spot to put it and you're done.
