If any members are interested in trying an alternative to their usual RAW converter then check out RawTherapee (http://www.rawtherapee.com/).
I gave it a go about a year ago now and since progressive updates have been applied the program seem more stable and faster in processing than before. That being said I still find it a little 'clunky' in terms of finding and processing files and sometimes the effects on images still take some time to happen.
There are though a very wide range of useful tweaking tools that you can get really get into in getting the most of your images.
It's "free" so worth giving it a whirl.
