CS3 vs CS4 File Sizes

I recently upgraded from CS3 to CS4 and I've noticed the file sizes are bigger - particularly jpegs when saving for Ausphotography. I'm having to save them at a lower quality than previously to get to about the same size as I had in CS3.

Has anyone else noticed this? Is it due to a setting change I can make? (Or is it just the bloatware upgrade???)

Hmmm... same sizes for me.

Have you got meta data on or off?
Are you using Progressive mode (smaller sizes)?
If these settings are different between versions that would explain it.
