This photo was taken on my honeymoon, on my old camera a finepix s5600.
I want to clean it up in photoshop and normally i don't get stumped, but this one is really stumping me and i'm not too sure what to do or how to do it, so i'm asking you to help me out.
What can i do to make this photo pop.
Hard if not impossible to fix blown whites, although in this I dont think it really matters a great deal...the bright white looks refreshing as does the lovely blue.
Just did a 1 minute edit, more could be done.....edit with CS3
1...levels adjustment to darken and enhance blues and clarify water more.
2...Alleviate some of the hot whites with the highlights slider in PS
3...crop more of top to reduce amount of glare
4... Cloned out some water glare using clone tool in PS
next time do a "bomb" :D
edit......I may have overdone the colour a bit using levels...easy fix :)
Mongo generally agrees with Seesee but with a little less contrast. Also for novelty try rotating 90 degrees in whichever direction look best.

ok this is what i've done
excuse the border
adjusted the levels, and highlights
cropped top and right
my cloning i could have done a better job, but I'll still have a bit of a play with it later.
but it is much improved

just coz I'm a pedantic kind of person, I'd recommend to try a square crop too.
diver to the RHS entering some empty water on the LHS.
haven't tried it myself, just a thought.
