How do I get the file #s onto the image? Scott Kirby's lightroom book has it but I can't find the right button or where he gives the tip

no worries, hey Ian, what your workflow for sharpening images for the web out of LR.
ie. what percentages are you using for a given image out of the 'detail' box as opposed to export sharpening and mogrify unsharp mask.

At the moment for landscape only shots i'll pp sharpen an image within the following ranges 40-60 in amount, drop the radius to around 0.7-1.0, detail to 30-50, and leave the masking at full.

In export i'll sharpen for web output with a low pass, i havent used mogrify's unsharp mask as yet.

Most sharpening done in PS; web stuff I often don't worry about sharpening. I have been told LR sharpening is not very consistent but I don't know enough to say yes or no to that

yeah would be interesting to see the difference between mogrify unsharp mask and PS usm output. will have to keep playing around.
