Hi there,
I have got a tamron 90mm macro. It is a great lens but, i find myself getting right in there to capture my subjects. I seen there are teleconverters for these lenses but no nothing about them. Any help will be greatful. How much magnification do you get with one attached to lens...
Thankyou

Teleconvertors usually come in 2-3 strengths., the common ones are 1.4x / 2.0x and 3.0x. they increase the zoom length by that figure so your 90mm would be come a 90 x 1.4 / 90 x 2 / 90 x 3 mm lens

Be aware that when you use a teleconvertor you also lose some ability to reach maximum aperture. So your 90mm f2.8 macro, would no longer be able to get to 2.8. Depending on the TC, you would end up with something like an f4 etc. Some TC also result in a slight loss of image quality as well.

They are a reasonably cheap and effective way to extend the zoom length of your lens and can be a great addition to your kit.
