Hi, my name is Jim Featherby. I live in Leongatha in south Gippsland, Victoria with my wife having moved after 38 years in Langwarrin. Recently retired at age 66, stopped work a year ago though thanks to knee injury.
I have been a hobby photographer since purchasing my first real camera in 1978 which was an Olympus sir. Chose that because it was so small and light, great for bushwalking. Have had several cameras but now I am stuck on a Nikon D600 which is about ten years old but still serving me well. I have a variety of lenses.
I mainly do landscapes of places we have travelled to, all Australian spots. Have recently started putting my photos together in movies which I share on websites, no point taking photos if nobody sees them. I don't sell, just share (yet).
Looking forward to seeing everyone's work. I just stumbled on this site and it looks good.
