Full Spectrum

Im expecting my Nikon D5300 back this week with full spectrum mod for astrophotography.

Can anyone advise me on what filters are best for DSO photography.

I'm not up on filters for a modded camera. Others here can advise on such.

With this image, I guess it was tracked? I think that maybe double the exposure time
would give you a "cleaner" (more colour saturated and less noisy) image, but it's not
too bad. I would not have gone much higher with the ISO setting (maybe 800 max)
for the same reason.

With visible-light-only images, a bit of post-processing can help, and I have tried a bit
with this one using Photoshop. But a better exposure would be best.

Lastly, what optics did you use? The Exif reports a FL of zero and an f-stop of the same.

^Basically, you remove the any non-colour-producing filters, such as UV and IR blocking
filters that the camera may have. That way you get all wavelengths that the sensor is able
to record. You can also modify a camera to record more "Hydrogen-alpha" light.
