Michaels Cameras in Melbourne closing down

This is a real shame it’s the first place I go when we go to Melbourne.

It's been a Melbourne landmark for more than 100 years, and a focal point for lovers of photography, but now the shutters have come down for good on Michaels camera store in Melbourne's CBD.

They did themselves no favours with the professionals when after her cheating saga was revealed, Michaels planned an evening with Lisa Saad.

They were called out on it and many professionals said at the time they would no longer support Michaels. Michaels apologised and cancelled the event, but the damage was done. Whoever at Michaels decided it would be a good idea to have her speak, really damaged their brand, and it has been a downward spiral, Covid-19 did not help, but the writing was on the wall before that.
