I listen to quite a bit of music, either in the background (and while processing photos) or attentively. In this thread post what you're currently listening to.
This way we can learn about new music and keep ourselves a little more entertained while in front of the computer.
If you're streaming music that you've got a pic of the artist or band, post that too. Otherwise album covers are good. :cool:

Don't blame me. I didn't ask the question, but this is one of my favourites from my favourite album released thus far in 2020;

https://youtu.be/LFxOaDeJmXkI personally prefer a small portion of Heart's original output. They released a couple of nice albums in the mid to late 80s all coming together in their finest hour, in my opinion, in 'Brigade.' I think folk here would probably prefer their earlier "classic" era, but I always loved 'Brigade.'

Until I was at Sheryl Crow live show I didn't connect. But seeing how much Sheryl enjoyed herself and the connection to the crowd I became a fan. Great talent and energy.
Streaming clips this afternoon. "Sheryl Crow - Tell Me When It’s Over" Subject is quite fitting considering...

Tinnitus - an album by The Inner Ears...
- WHO modelled their band name on The Revolving Doors
(Come on, you've heard through both of them:cool:)
It's playing most of the time :( - It's playing now :eek:
--And even though I was not a great fan of The Sounds of Silence,
I wouldn't mind putting up with some bars of that instead, betimes :confused013
Here's a somewhat syncopated and rather melodic version of what it sounds like...:p:p:p

Struggling to get this delicious version of this song out of my head recently;
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWD4m6AFEsg
It's actually a cover of a young Swedish lass' tune from 2001, that apparently did very well in Sweden in that year. Lisa Miskovsky was the original artist... though you guys are probably every bit as familiar with her as you would be Eclipse. For the record, Eclipse have been an incredibly consistent band, also from Sweden... since, also, 2001. And are usually recording stuff like this;

As usual for me, I'm listening to a variety of music spanning ambient, folk through to progressive metal. Here is a song from today, a duet by Sharon Del Adel (from Within Temptation)and Anneke van Giersbergen (previously from The Gathering).

Mark, that Tal Wilkenield is a small human with huge talent. Interesting music and voice.
Admittedly I like this sort of intricate, introspective, folky, singer-songwriter stuff, especially when there is some melody present. The style of jazz in her music works for me too, even though I'm not a jazz fan per se. It was a gamble hoping that The Who fans would accept it, but I guess that's the risk of support acts. Thanks for sharing.

Very cool, Gazza. No electronics necessary, just a very, very, big pipe.
I listened to a blues piece by this artist and liked it even more. Wonderful ambient feel, but a lot of mouthpiece breath in the recording.
AC/DC for me. Only done right.

Tannin, Steve'n'Seagulls reminds me of Hayseed Dixie.
I just bought a CD (remember them?) by one of my favourite bands, IO Earth. Their latest album, "Aura". They are genre-defying, but I would call them Progressive, to use a rather dated category. I enjoy the melodic, European, cinematic quality of their music. Occasionally dark, their music is generally uplifting and has helped me with my headspace over the years and again now in Covid 19 times.
They have only made videos of three of the latest album's tracks. "Waterfall" is 11 minutes long, with a very slow burn beginning.

The Steve & The Seagulls version of Thunderstruck is a work of art.
Saw Hayseed Dixie in Sydney last year and was a bit disappointed (maybe the expectations were too high), but they did a great song of their own that my wife's band has started playing- Laying in the Backyard.
Sortta relevant? Scored a few 'Rockwiz' DVD's the other day. Very amusing. Very entertaining.

One night decades ago while on a lonely road I picked up a couple of scratchy bars of a song as the radio signal
faded in and out (AM radio :lightning:). The piece had an evocative cadence of notes that I would remember from time
to time and always wonder what the song was. A little while ago on the erstwhile late-at-night ABC radio, the
announcer played what I recognised as the very song! :eek: < surprise! I was half-asleep, and I was sure he said that
it was by "Powderfinger from the 70s..." So in my semi-somnolent state I resolved to remember the name of the
group and do a search for it later. I did, to absolutely NO avail. I then put in some words I could remember, and lo!,
followed by a behold!, the name Badfinger came up with the title. - I still blame the announcer for getting the
name wrong :p
I told you it was an old song... (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rIGP-ZMOOXQ):p
