Hi all,

I've been dabbling in photography on and off for about 10 years or more now. After a recent workshop with Canon Collective I'm remember what I've been missing! Trying to make a bit more time for it and make some improvements in both the photos I take and the editing.

I'm using a well worn Canon 7d and recently got a Sony a6500 with the intent of using it when I traveled for work. The Sony hasn't seen much use at all which seems a waste. I'm looking to find more reasons to get it out of the drawer at home.

I prefer landscape and macro but have played with pretty much everything but portraiture.

So don't play with "pretty much everything" as you learn. Choose a few things to concentrate on to help you learn. Landscapes and flowers???. Learning these will give you skills for a lot of other things.
